Quantum Multiverse Theory Explained – Simply 📱 🔭 🌌 . For Creative Project 2, “Chance Operations,” in my History and Theory of Dynamic Media course for my project entitled, “1-2-1,” I decided to create a Participatory Art Illustration of Quantum Mechanics Multiverse Theory.
Simply put, “Quantum Mechanics Multiverse Theory” tells us that at the subatomic level, whenever a quantum particle changes its state, all possibilities are randomly played out (Multiverse Theory, Explained, 2018).
Physicist Erwin Schrödinger’s “Many Worlds Interpretation” of Quantum Mechanics Multiverse Theory explains the apparent randomness of quantum mechanics with deterministic “observer bias,” meaning, we just happen to be seeing the possibility that happened in the one we currently occupy (The Many Worlds of the Quantum Multiverse | Space Time | PBS Digital Studios, 2016).
Using the front-facing camera of participants cell phones, we created “infinity mirrors” on each cell phone screen of all participants. Each infinity image, on each cell phone screen, represents all possibilities of quantum particles changing state, randomly playing out.
