A published author and graduate of the UCLA Master of Fine Arts Program in Film, Television and Digital Media, Christopher C. Odom is a domestic and international award-winning filmmaker and voice over talent whose work has screened in major cities worldwide including Cannes, Berlin, Tel Aviv, New York and Los Angeles. A former story analyst for Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) Independent Writer's Caucus, Christopher has directed, produced, wrote, shot and edited many long-form and short works ranging from feature films with international distribution through Entertainment One (eOne), promos and trailers for the nationally televised PBS series Independent Lens to on-location aviation news stories for Airborne-Unlimited on the Aero-News Network. At present, Christopher is a permanent faculty member teaching screenwriting and production to graduate students at Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. He also serves as the Vice-President of Content Creation for EJO Ventures Technology Project Management - Network Systems Integration. Under the umbrella of semiotics, postmodernism, and poststructuralism, the paper builds upon the work of Roland Barthes, Stuart Hall, and Safiya Umoja Noble by expanding the concepts of visual semiotics, visual rhetoric, postcolonialism, critical race theory, and algorithms to examine the narrative of the image.

For Creative Project Three: Extensions of the Body, I focused upon the theme of internal and external influences. We are continually influenced by the words thoughts and emotions of others. We continually strive to thrive, coexist and survive in this Rat Race known, as the Human Experience. However, we sometimes act and react to the words, thoughts and emotions of others instead of our own. To address this theme, I created a participatory, interactive performance piece.
