How to Convert a Blu-Ray Movie to a M4V

There are hundreds of file formats today and not all of them are compatible with every device. To convert a DVD to play with an Apple TV, iPhone or iPod, it must be converted to Apple’s proprietary .MV4 file format. The .MV4 file format is Apple’s version of an MPEG4 file that utilizes the H.264 codec, which is used specifically to compress content for the Apple TV, iPhone or iPod. In order to convert a Blu-Ray, you must first have a movie clip extractor program capable of ingesting and converting Blu-Ray files such as Miraizon’s Cinematize Pro. With a program like Cinematize Pro, or a comparable program, you will be able to do the conversion on a MAC or PC. Published on 1/21/2010
